CHESTER- Democrat Town Councilman Brandon Holdridge handily defeated incumbent Republican Supervisor Robert Valentine in the race for Town of Chester supervisor.  Holdridge secured 1,586 votes to Valentine’s 962.  Robert Courtenay, a registered Republican ran on the FD PD EMS First party line and mustered just over 2 percent of the total vote.

Holdridge heads to town hall with a host of new Democratic council members as well.  Two seats were up for grabs, which were secured by Larry Dysinger and Tom Becker.  With these three wins, Democrats now control town government in Chester.

The race for Superintendent of Highways was uncontested, with John Reilly winning reelection.
