HURLEY – The Hurley Town Board has approved the 2024 budget, which totals $3.8 million and keeps the property tax levy at the 2023 level.
With revisions agreed to by the town board during a public hearing, combined general fund and highway fund appropriations in the newly approved budget are 3.7 percent smaller than the 2023 total of $3.96 million, officials said.
The 2024 spending plan leaves the combined general fund and highway fund tax levy at the 2023 level of $2.35 million.
The final budget was to be voted on at the town board’s November 14 meeting, but with no changes made at the October 30 meeting, Councilman Simpson made a motion that the plan be approved.
