GOSHEN – A Town of Wallkill man was arraigned in Orange County Court on Monday on two counts of murder, tampering with physical evidence and conspiracy in connection with the death of his next-door neighbor.

It is alleged that Enoch Lowe, 25, had conspired with Damante Stansberry, 24, of Middletown, to kill Lowe’s neighbor, Jeffrey Harris, 53, with whom Lowe had a long-standing animosity.

At around 5 p.m. on October 30, 2022, Stansberry arrived at Harris’ home and repeatedly stabbed Harris, who was repairing a fence in his backyard.

Lowe had agreed to pay Stansberry $15,000 to kill the man.

Lowe waited outside and signaled Stansberry by text when Harris was outside.

On March 30 of this year, Stansberry pled guilty to murder in the killing of Harris. Stansberry awaits sentencing.
