GOSHEN – A 22-year-old Port Jervis man who pled guilty to criminal possession of a weapon, was sentenced in Orange County Court on Monday to 10 years in state prison followed by five years of post-release supervision.

Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler said Noah James McCagg had created a 9mm pistol in his Prospect Street home using a 3-D printer.

Investigating Port Jervis City Police found that he was manufacturing ghost guns – weapons with no serial numbers – on his 3-D printer, adding other gun components, to fabricate fully functional pistols.

The printer and gun components were recovered during a warrant search of his home.

The investigation into McCagg’s ghost gun manufacturing stemmed from a police investigation into narcotics trafficking by the Orange County Drug Task Force and Port Jervis Police.
