MONTGOMERY – A 30-year-old Monroe woman who was driving a 2018 Chevrolet Malibu on eastbound Interstate 84 in the Town of Montgomery Tuesday evening is in critical condition at Westchester Medical Center after her vehicle was squashed between two tractor-trailers, State Police say.
The preliminary investigation found that an 18-wheeler driven by Brandon Collins, 30, of Fayetteville, Texas struck the rear of the car driven by Janet Colon and pushed her vehicle into the rear of another tractor-trailer driven by Dennis Edner, 55, of Owego, New York.
Colon was entrapped in her car and had to be extricated by Town of Montgomery Fire/EMS and Paramedics.
All vehicles were traveling eastbound at the time of the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
