POUGHKEEPSIE – The Dutchess County Drug Task Force raided two houses this morning, resulting in the arrest of two suspected fentanyl dealers. In addition to the two arrests, police seized a quantity of fentanyl, cocaine, and other narcotics.

The task force, assisted by the City of Poughkeepsie Police Neighborhood Recovery Unit arrested Kenyatta Jackson, 33, and Zaccia Curtis, age 21, at their homes early Wednesday morning.  Both men are facing two felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.  Additional charges are pending, according to Detective Sergeant Adam Harris, the leader of the task force.  Curtis is currently on probation for a weapons conviction earlier this year.  Both men were held pending an arraignment later on Wednesday.

Zaccia Curtis is currently on Dutchess County Probation as a result of a weapons conviction earlier this year.

“The Dutchess County Drug Task Force has been continuing to aggressively investigate drug dealers who sell poison in our communities,” Harris said.  “The community can rest a bit easier knowing that these two poison dealers are off the street for now.  If they get released and go back to selling drugs, we will be there to arrest them and we will do it as many times as needed until they are sent to prison.”

If anyone has information regarding this case or about any other individuals selling drugs in Dutchess County, you are urged to contact the Drug Task Force confidential tip line at 845-463-6040 or by sending an email.
