POUGHKEEPSIE – A 40-year-old inmate at the Dutchess County Jail is facing a new charge after violating an order of protection while in jail.  Brandon Conners has been in jail since Independence Day and made contact with a person who is considered a “protected party,” in violation of an existing order of protection.

An investigation by Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office personnel from both the law enforcement and corrections divisions resulted in Conners being arrested and charged with misdemeanor criminal contempt on Tuesday, October 24.

Conners is scheduled to answer the new charge in the City of Poughkeepsie Court on November 1, 2023.

He remains in the Dutchess County Jail.
