OLD TAPPAN- Prince of Peace Lutheran Church has announced its annual Blessing of the Pets and Food Drive event on Saturday, October 14, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at its 106 Orangeburgh Road location in Old Tappan.
All in the surrounding communities are welcome to come by and have their pets, from hamsters to dogs, receive a blessing from Pastor John Holliday. Reverend Holliday is requesting members of the community consider making a donation of non-perishable food items in support of those in need within the community.
“Our congregation knows how important people’s pets are to their spiritual lives along with our goal to help our neighbors with their own physical nourishment in these challenging times,” said Holliday. “It will be a great day for people of all backgrounds from the surrounding communities to meet and greet each other,” he added.
