Kingston man indicted for attempted murder

KINGSTON – An Ulster County grand jury has indicted a Kingston man on charges of attempted murder, assault and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.

It is alleged that on October 6, 2022 in the Town of Esopus, Corey Marshall, 34, fired a handgun six times at a victim, striking them in the hip.

Marshall fled the scene while wearing a mask.

The Ulster County Sheriff’s Office Detective Division investigated, leading to his arrest.

Marshall is currently in the Ulster County Jail without bail.

The sheriff’s office was assisted by members of the Town of Ulster Police, State Police, New York/New Jersey HIDTA and the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office.
