Letter to the Editor: Rolison working to protect law enforcement

Dear Editor:

The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Employee Association (DCSEA) would like to say thank you to New York State Senator Rob Rolison. Senator Rolison has introduced legislation to protect first responders and correction officers from exposure of fentanyl while performing their duties.

The DCSEA is grateful for lawmakers like Senator Rolison who understand how hard law enforcement officers work to keep the public safe whether it’s on the street or behind the wall of jails and prisons. The dangerous drugs law enforcement officers can be exposed to while performing their duties are very concerning and there needs to be consequences for individuals that expose first responders and correction officers
