Philipse Manor Hall hosts educators’ open house

YONKERS- The Philipse Manor Hall State Historic Site and the Friends of Philipse Manor Hall are pleased to host another Educators’ Open House on Saturday, September 16, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Area educators of all backgrounds and grade levels can attend free of charge by showing their school ID. 

The open house is designed to introduce educators to the new “Our Whole History” exhibit and field trip programs at Philipse Manor Hall as well as field trip and educational program opportunities from other area educational organizations including Untermyer Gardens, Old Croton Aqueduct State Historic Park, and the Yonkers Historical Society.  Educators can try their hands at the Philipse Manor Hall fur trade game, examine primary sources, and more.  Refreshments will be provided by the Friends of Philipse Manor Hall. 

Philipse Manor Hall State Historic Site offers field trips focused on the early colonial period of New York to the American Revolution and is open year-round.  Educators can learn more about programs by visiting www.philipsemanorhall.com/education
