Spring Valley Police arrest man in convenience store slashing

SPRING VALLEY – A 32-year-old Spring Valley man has been arrested on charges of attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon in connection with a flight at the Alizeh Food Mart at 22 North Main Street in the village.

Police were called to the scene at around 9:40 p.m. on Tuesday, September 5 where they found a 34-year-old Spring Valley man with a severe laceration to his neck.

He was rushed by ambulance to the hospital with serious injuries where he was listed in stable condition.

On Friday, September 8, Spring Valley Police arrested Joshua Jemison in connection with the assault.

He was arraigned and remanded to the Rockland County Jail in lieu of $200,000 cash bail or $500,000 bond.
