Youth arrested following bomb threat at fast food eatery

NEW WINDSOR – An underage boy has been charged with two felony counts for allegedly reporting a false bomb threat to the area of Burger King on Windsor Highway in New Windsor.

The incident occurred minutes before 2 p.m. on Friday, August 25.

The building and exterior were searched by Officer Levy and his partner K-9 Marty.

Further investigation led to the arrest of a boy, who was charged with two counts of falsely reporting an incident.

Police Chief Daniel Valeri said the threat appears to be unfounded and there are no continuing public safety threats.
