HOPEWELL JUNCTION- Ten churches have joined to host a Revival to worship God for 24 hours in southern Dutchess County.  The event will begin at 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 18, 2023, at Hopewell Reformed Church, 143 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction.  This free event is open to the public.

“It is inspiring to see churches coming together, working together, and worshiping together,” said Reverend Douglas Leonard, the pastor of Hopewell Reformed Church.  “Our hope is that offerings of music, testimony, prayer, and fellowship will give glory to God, invite a movement of the Holy Spirit, and bring people into a closer relationship with Jesus Christ.”

Award-winning praise musician and worship leader Dave Pettigrew is kicking off the event and he will be followed by Bruce Carlson, who will offer healing prayers at 8:30 p.m.  Then, bands and choirs from area churches will be leading people in worship, testimony and prayer, praising God with unbroken worship until 7:00 p.m. Saturday, August 19, 2023.

Area churches were invited to join this effort, said Leonard. Participants include:Arlington Reformed Church, Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, Casa Servir, The Gathering at Faith Assembly, Hopewell Reformed Church, Love Inc., Odyssey, Praying Patriots, The River Community Church, and Vineyard Community Church.

“We invite people to come and be encouraged in their faith,” said Leonard.  “Stay for all or part of this revival.  We have faith that this gathering will lead to the strengthening of our partnerships as we celebrate the kingdom of God in the Hudson Valley.”
