Woman’s body pulled from Hudson River

NYACK – The body of a woman was recovered from the Hudson River at the Nyack Marina Sunday afternoon.

The Nyack Fire Department pulled the body from the water.

The Orangetown Police Detective Bureau is investigating and while the woman’s identity has been confirmed, police are not making it public until relatives have been notified.

Detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or anyone who may have additional information to contact the Orangetown Police at 845-359-3700.

Orangetown Police were assisted by the Nyack Fire Department, Rockland County Sheriff’s Department, Rockland Paramedic Services, Nyack Ambulance Corps, Piermont Fire Department and several civilians on the scene of the 2:45 p.m. discovery.
