Newburgh cops investigate shooting

NEWBURGH – City of Newburgh police are investigating a Friday, July 7th shooting that took place in the vicinity of Benkard Avenue and William Street.

Police responded to a report of shots fired near the intersection of Benkard Avenue and William Street at approximately 4:45 p.m. on Friday.  Radio communications indicated that a victim was transported to the hospital for treatment.  It was reported that two shell casings were recovered in a store in the area.
