ALBANY – Several state landmarks will be illuminated red, white and blue on Tuesday, July 4 in celebration of Independence Day.

Two in the Hudson Valley will be lit with the colors of the American flag – The Franklin D. Roosevelt Mid-Hudson Bridge over the Hudson River, linking the City of Poughkeepsie in Dutchess with the Town of Lloyd in Ulster County, and the Governor Cuomo Tappan Zee Bridge linking Westchester and Rockland counties.

“Independence Day is a prominent reminder that the great State of New York remains committed to the founding principles our great country was built upon – equality, freedom and justice for all.”
