A 38-year-old Monticello woman has been arrested for being in possession of multiple handguns on the campus of Liberty High School last week.
The Dutchess County Drug Task Force (DCDTF) arrested a 45-year-old man on drug charges after members of the task force raided a Poughkeepsie residence on Thursday.  Poughkeepsie Resident Edward Jackson has been charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance after a warrant was executed at Jackson’s Fox Terrace residence.

The DCDTF was assisted by the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department Neighborhood Recovery Unit (NRU) in executing the search warrant that resulted from an investigation into illegal sales of crack cocaine in the area.  When the apartment was raided, more than five ounces of the rock cocaine, packaged for sale, was seized by the police.

Jackson was arraigned in the City of Poughkeepsie Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail without bail.
