NEWBURGH- The City of Newburgh is seeking volunteers to serve on the Industrial Development Agency (IDA).  Interested individuals must apply by July 21, 2023.

The mission of the IDA is to help attract and contribute to Newburgh’s job opportunities, a diverse and net positive tax base to provide long term economic prosperity and sustainability and advance the general welfare and standard of living for the city and its residents through the promotion, development, encouragement, and assistance of industrial, manufacturing, warehousing, commercial, technology, tourism initiatives, and recreational facilities, utilizing Green practices and adaptive re-use where available.

The IDA meets in-person approximately once a month, with specific meeting times determined by member availability, at Council Chambers, 83 Broadway, Newburgh, NY 12550.  Appointment to the IDA is by the City Council.  Appointed members of the board shall continue to serve until a successor is appointed.
