WALLKILL- In the early 2000s, the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) began a project to address the existing needs at Exit 122.  In 2008, after significant alternative analysis, public involvement, and agency coordination, the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) published a Record of Decision which included a Preferred Alternative. Construction of the western half of the interchange (Phase 1) was completed in 2015.

NYSDOT is now working to complete Phase 2 by constructing the eastern half of the interchange and completing the widening of Route 17 over the Wallkill River.

NYSDOT is in the process of re-evaluating and updating all social, economic, and environmental considerations regarding the original project in order to complete the design and construction of Phase 2 and wants to hear from you!

Date:  Thursday, June 1, 2023
Time:  6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Location:  Town of Wallkill Town Hall Meeting Room, 99 Tower Drive, Building A, Middletown, NY 10941

The meeting format will be open house.  Members of the public are invited to drop in any time between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. to view project information and talk with the project team.

NYSDOT complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act and federal Limited English Proficiency guidelines.  If you require special accommodations or interpretation services to participate in this meeting, please contact 518-732-6302 by May 26, 2023.
