NEW YORK – Otisville, New York resident Josh Walker, 28, made his major League debut with the New York Mets against Tampa Bay on Tuesday night. He threw a scoreless inning in his debut.

Before he was called up on Tuesday, he pitched in nine games in AAA Syracuse with an ERA of 0.68.

He pitched 13.1 innings giving up 6 hits while walking 6 and striking out 13.

He allowed no home runs.
