NEWBURGH – Thirty-eight-year-old Tito Vinza-Vinza was arrested by state police for DWI two times in less than three hours on Mother’s Day.  The Newburgh man was first arrested for DWI after a pre-dawn traffic stop on Broadway in the city.  Vinza-Vinza earned his second DWI arrest after being pulled over for a traffic violation on First Street at 7:00 a.m., less than three hours after his first arrest.

The first traffic stop occurred after troopers observed a Ford pickup drifting into the oncoming westbound lane of Broadway.  The subsequent investigation determined that Vinza-Vinza was impaired by alcohol and arrested.  Vinza-Vinza refused to submit to a Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) test.  He was charged with DWI and released with an appearance ticket returnable in the City of Newburgh Court on June 23, 2023.

After being issued his ticket, Vinza-Vinza was observed by troopers on First Street and pulled over for a traffic violation.  During the interview, troopers determined that Vinza-Vinza was impaired by alcohol and arrested.  During the second time being processed, Vinza-Vinza agreed to submit to testing, which he failed with a BAC of .09 percent.  He was issued another appearance ticket that also requires him to appear in city court on June 23, 2023, at 9:00 a.m.
