POUGHKEEPSIE – City police are investigating a shooting that occurred on Main Street shortly after 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. One male victim sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the back. Police, fire, and EMS personnel responded to the call at 551 Main Street at 11:15 a.m.
The 19-year-old victim was located in the backyard of the convenience store at 551 Main Street, at the intersection of North White Street. He was triaged at the scene by City of Poughkeepsie firefighters and transported to a local hospital for further treatment.
