POUGHKEEPSIE – The infrequently used Kaal Rock Park has been identified as a city park that needs improvement, according to city officials.  The city has retained the services of LaBella Associates to design the improvements necessary to make the park more user-friendly.

The public is invited and encouraged to offer input into the design plans.  A public workshop is being held on May 31, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Common Council Chambers at City Hall to learn more about the project and offer input.

LaBella Associates are going to assist with the park’s revitalization, and the project team will design lighting and electrical upgrades, add two sand volleyball courts and prepare a conceptual plan of the entire park, including Kaal Rock Point.
