Shooting victim not cooperating with police

POUGHKEEPSIE – A 27-year-old man is not cooperating with police despite being shot twice on Sunday morning on Hudson Avenue in the City of Poughkeepsie, at the apartments commonly referred to as “The Bricks.”

The incident occurred at approximately 5:36 a.m. in an apartment of building 10.  A Mobile Life ambulance was in the area and the EMS personnel located the victim in building 9 as police were responding.

Responding police received some information from witnesses and located a suspect in building 6.  He was detained at the scene, taken to police headquarters, and held for questioning.

The victim sustained a gunshot wound to the arm and another to the chest.  He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.  City of Poughkeepsie Police Captain Rich Wilson told Mid-Hudson News that the victim is not cooperating with the investigating officers.
