MONTICELLO – Police in Monticello said the three people shot inside a house at 15 Holmes Street late Friday night were wounded when someone fired a gun from the outside. Police said it appears the shootings were intentional. Several rounds were fired, Authorities said.

A 27-year-old man was listed in stable condition at Garnet Medical Center. A 20-year-old woman was treated and released at the hospital and a 15-month-old was flown to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla and was listed in critical but stable condition.

The house where the shootings took place is in a wooded area of the village. No suspect information was available from the police at midday Saturday.

State Police are working on the investigation with village police. Anyone with information about the shootings is asked to call Monticello Police in confidence at 845-794-4422.

Also assisting in the incident were the Sullivan County District Attorney’s and Sheriff’s offices, Mobile Medic Ambulance, Town of Mamakating Ambulance, Monticello Fire Department and Life Net of New York Medevac.
