Teen charged with making threats to Highland school

HIGHLAND – A 13-year-old Highland boy has been arrested by Lloyd Town Police on charges that he posted social media threats directed at students and staff at Highland Middle School.

The threats were made on the evening of Saturday, April 15.

Town police and the school district officials investigated and were able to locate and identify the individual who made the threats.

On Monday, April 17, police arrested the youth and charged him with making a threat of mass harm.

He was released to his parents on an Ulster County Family Court appearance ticket and is due in family court later this month.
