TOWN OF WALLKILL – The man whose motorcycle was struck on Route 211 in the Town of Wallkill Monday night has died, Wallkill Town Police said Tuesday.
Town Police identified the victim as George Marse, 56, of Port Jervis.
The incident occurred just before 9:30 p.m. on Route 211 East and Tower Drive.
Police said the accident occurred when a 2012 Subaru, driven by Juan Castillo, 37, struck Marse’s 1996 Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Marse was also traveling westbound but stopped on Route 211 at the intersection with Tower Drive.
The investigation is continuing by Wallkill Town Police detectives, with assistance from the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, State Police, Silver Lake Fire Department, Town of Wallkill Emergency Medical Services, Town Public Works Department and Town Office of Emergency Management.
