POUGHKEEPSIE – Three City of Poughkeepsie men have been arrested by the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office after an investigation into a home invasion robbery in Pleasant Valley in July of last year.  The three men, Marlon Washington, 47, Jimy Peraltamarte, 22, and Miguel Lora, 47, are believed to have participated in an armed robbery at a residence in Pleasant Valley in which they stole an undisclosed amount of cash and injured two victims.

DCSO Captain John Watterson said information about this incident was previously withheld because the investigation has been complex and relied heavily on confidentiality to be successful.

Washington was arrested on November 17, 2022, and charged with two felony counts of robbery, felony burglary, felony kidnapping, and criminal possession of a weapon, also a felony.  He was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail without bail.

Miguel Lora

Peraltamarte was arrested on March 2, 2023, on the same charges as Mr. Washington.  He was also remanded to the Dutchess County Jail without bail.

Miguel Lora was indicted by a Dutchess County Grand Jury on two felony charges of robbery and felony burglary on April 12, 2023.  He was already being held in the Dutchess County Jail on a

Jimy Peraltamarte

probation violation from an unrelated case.

Captain Watterson noted that the incident was not random and there was no danger to the public as a whole, and he pointed out that the victims were specifically targeted for the robbery.
