CARMEL – Putnam County is going to spend $2 million to make improvements and repairs to existing county buildings.

“The condition of numerous county facilities has deteriorated over the past year,” said County Executive Kevin Byrne. “Many of our existing facilities that provide for the core functions of county government need serious repairs and upgrades. Our public employees deserve to work in buildings they can take pride in, and where they feel safe and secure. Likewise, our residents and visitors who utilize our county spaces and services should feel the same.”

Projects to be included in the program funding authorized by the county legislature include structural repairs to the Board of Elections building, exterior and roof repairs at the Koehler Memorial Senior Center and ADA accessibility improvements.
