CARMEL – Putnam County Executive Kevin Byrne has nominated the current county representative on the MTA board for another term.
Byrne said the current member is serving the county and the Metro-North Railroad system well.
“Neal Zuckerman is the finance chair of the MTA board and is proud to call Putnam County his home, and I was proud to give him the nomination to recommend to the governor and the state senate,” Byrne said. “This is a non-partisan appointment. Mr. Zuckerman and I belong to different political parties, but the people of Putnam County see the value that he brings to the board and as residents and customers of the MTA.”
Two of Metro-North’s rail lines, the Hudson and Harlem divisions, pass through Putnam County.
