POUGHKEEPSIE- Mid-Hudson Love INC presents its first Showcase of Talent and Dessert Event on Saturday, April 22, at 7:00 p.m. This fun evening ‘out’ promises great stage performances by local talent as well as sales of beautiful art and fabulous desserts. The Showcase is hosted by Faith Assembly of God Church at 25 Golf Club Lane in Poughkeepsie as a benefit for Love INC.
Onstage, the showcase features a variety of local musicians, dancers, and comedians. The Full Gospel Center Dance team and the New Beginnings Worship Band will be performing in a line-up that also includes classical guitar, folk song, harmonica, piano, and vocal solos. Also on the program is a short video and comedians Liz Fonda and Jason Anson. Dale Borchert will emcee. Delectable desserts will be available at intermission, and while supplies last, whole pies and cakes can be purchased to take home. In addition, a gallery of watercolors, photographs, gardening baskets, and unique artistic pieces will be available to view and purchase.
Tickets are available at the door for $10 per person, with children 10 and under admitted free. The Showcase and Dessert Event is a fundraiser to benefit the ministry work of local churches through Mid-Hudson Love In the Name of Christ.
Mid-Hudson Love INC is a partnership of churches that helps local families experiencing poverty, providing personal attention, skill-building classes, and tangible goods such as personal care items, linens, and furniture.
