TAGHKANIC- The New York State Department of Transportation is advising Columbia County motorists that one lane of the Taconic State Parkway in each direction is expected to close between Exit 80 (State Route 82) and County Route 10 in the Town of Taghkanic, beginning Monday, April 3 at 7:00 a.m., through Friday, April 7 at 5:00 p.m., to facilitate bridge maintenance. The maintenance work will take place during this scheduled period, weather permitting.
Motorists are urged to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver’s license.
