CORTLANDT – The State Department of Transportation is advising motorists to expect U.S. Route 6/202 (Bear Mountain Bridge Road) in both directions to close between State Route 9D and U.S. Route 9 in the Town of Cortlandt weekdays beginning Thursday, March 16, through Friday, March 24, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., to facilitate tree work, weather permitting.
Motorists should expect delays and follow the posted detour utilizing State Route 9D, State Route 403 and U.S. Route 9.
Motorists are urged to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver’s license.
