Man who broke into ex’s home and attacked her new boyfriend sentenced to prison

CARMEL – A Westchester County man has been sentenced in Putnam County Court to five years in state prison and five years of post-release supervision for breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s home in the middle of the night and attacking her current boyfriend in his bed.

Putnam County District Attorney Robert Tendy said Jorge Sari-Tenesaca climbed through a kitchen window of her Town of Carmel home at about 1 a.m. while the woman and her new partner were sleeping., The woman is the mother of Sari-Tenesaca’s children, who were also sleeping in the residence.

As the man was being attacked, the woman called 911 and Sari-Tenesaca was apprehended.

He was released at arraignment and absconded for 11 months before he was located and arrested.

The City of Peekskill Police Department and US Immigration and Customs Enforcement assisted in the investigation.
