YORKTOWN – State Assemblyman Matthew Slater (R, Yorktown) joined students of Brookside Elementary along with local school and town officials to show their support for members of the U.S. Armed Forces through United for the Troops’ “Operation Cupid.” Operation Cupid is an annual event created by United for the Troops to send care packages, and students can send cards, to active duty members of the military.

“I am incredibly proud of the students at Brookside Elementary for understanding the importance of Operation Cupid and volunteering their creative skills in support of our active duty military members around the world,” said Slater. “Thank you to the school district for partnering with my office to get the student body involved in such a meaningful project. We continue to pray for the health and success of our troops as they protect our nation.”
