Teens arrested in Port Jervis for armed robbery

PORT JERVIS – Two teenage boys from Port Jervis have been arrested on charges of armed robbery after they allegedly held up two other individuals on Ferguson Avenue in Port Jervis with what appeared to be pistols.

The victims of the 2 a.m. incident on Sunday, December 20 told Port Jervis Police they were robbed by two young men, one with what appeared to be a revolved and the other with what appeared to be a dark colored handgun.

Officers searched the neighborhood and located the suspects in the area of Farnum Park adjacent to Canal Street.

The two fled on foot but where apprehended by officers on Brooklyn Street after a foot chase.

Officers later recovered a starter pistol and a BB pistol during the investigation.

A search warrant was executed at an apartment at 14 Ferguson Avenue where the Orange County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Group and the Port Jervis Police seized approximately 18 grams of crack cocaine, a scale and cutting agents.

The suspects, ages 16 and 17, were remanded to a secure juvenile facility in lieu of $25,000 bail pending further court appearances. Their names were not released because of their ages.

Police also arrested Dominque Croci, 43, of Port Jervis, charged with armed robbery. He was arraigned and remanded to the Orange County Jail without bail.

Joshua Sosa Buchanan, 19, of Sparrowbush, was also charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and another county of drug possession in excess of a half-ounce. He was also charged with criminal use of drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned and released on his own recognizance pending a future court appearance.
