FLORIDA – One person perished as fire tore through a row house in the Village of Florida late Thursday night, according to first responders.
Firefighters were called to the scene at 52 Country Club Drive at around 10:30 p.m. with heavy fire conditions reported in the rear of the building.
Fire officials at the scene reported one fatality.
Firefighters from several area departments assisted Florida in fighting the blaze, including Goshen, Pine Island, Warwick, Chester, and Slate Hill.
The identity of the victim and the cause of the fire were not immediately known.
