East Fishkill man arrested for illegal possession of AK-47

EAST FISHKILL – State Police arrested an East Fishkill man on Tuesday on a felony charge of criminal possession of a weapon.

Troopers pulled over Essam Saleh, 29, on the Taconic State Parkway in East Fishkill at 2:10 p.m. for several vehicle and traffic violations.

Investigation determined Saleh was in illegal possession of a Palmetto State Armory PSAK-47 rifle.

He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to East Fishkill Town Court.
