North Castle man sentenced to prison for having sex with 12-year-old

WHITE PLAINS – A 44-year-old North Castle man was sentenced in Westchester County Court on Tuesday to 15 years in state prison and 20-years of post-release supervision for having sex with a 12-year-old child between March and July 2020.

Westchester District Attorney Miriam Rocah said Jorge Lazo Achahui will also be required to register as a sex offender.

On September 28, Achahui pled guilty to the felony of course of sexual conduct.

The North Castle Police Department arrested him on February 6, 2021, following their investigation, which was conducted with assistance from the DA’s office, Westchester Department of Laboratories and Research, and the State Police Crime Laboratory System.
