ALBANY – The September 2022 unemployment rate for the Hudson Valley Region was 2.8 percent, the State Labor Department reports. That is down from 3.5 percent in August 2022 and down from 3.9 percent in September 2021.
In September, there were 33,200 unemployed in the region, down from 40,600 in August and down from 44,000 in September 2021.
Year-over-year in September, the labor force increased by 44,200 or 3.9 percent to almost 1.2 million.
All Hudson Valley/Catskills counties with the exception of Greene and Delaware experienced under 3.0 percent joblessness in September.
