MID-HUDSON – The 11th Annual Big Eddy Film Festival in Sullivan County starts this evening and runs through Sunday and a new festival, the Sugar Loaf Film Festival, starts on Thursday, September 22 and runs through Saturday, September 24.
Big Eddie features the newest and best independent films from around the world and our own backyard, notes Sullivan Catskills Visitors Association. It gets underway on Thursday (today) at 6 p.m. with a pre-festival benefit for Ukraine.
The new Sugar Loaf festival will offer screenings of more than 40 films – mostly shorts plus panel discussions and workshops on screenwriting, acting, cinematography, costume design and hair and makeup.
