ULSTER COUNTY – Two Saugerties residents were arrested on drug charges by the Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team (URGENT).  One of the individuals was released on an appearance ticket while the other was sent to the Ulster County Jail.

Thirty-two-year-old Kyle Schick was arrested on September 8 along with  Melissa Neglia, age 29.
According to URGENT, Neglia was observed committing a traffic violation on Sawkill-Ruby Road in the Town of Ulster on September 8, and police pulled the vehicle over for a traffic stop.
During the traffic stop, it was discovered that Neglia was operating the vehicle with a revoked license, and the passenger, Schick, had an active warrant of arrest issued by the State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision.
A search of the vehicle yielded approximately 250 bags of heroin/fentanyl.
Both Neglia and Schick were taken into custody and charged with multiple counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Neglia was released with an appearance ticket to appear in the Town of Ulster Justice Court on a future date and time.
Schick was remanded to the Ulster County Jail and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ulster Justice Court on a future date due to the outstanding warrant.
