LAKE KATRINE – A 49-year-old Town of Ulster man has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with the death of a woman whose body was found on September 1 at about 8:20 a.m. in a wooded area off Eastern Parkway in the Town of Ulster.
Police said they will not be releasing the victim’s name.
Johnny Amaro was also found to be the suicidal man from the Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge early Thursday morning.
Amaro was arraigned and remanded to the Ulster County Jail without bail.
The Ulster Police Department was assisted by the District Attorney’s Office, State Police, Ulster County Sheriff’s Office, Kingston City and Saugerties Police Departments.
