LOCH SHELDRAKE – If you attend classes or work at SUNY Sullivan and drive an electric vehicle, you are in luck.

The college has installed four dual-port electric vehicle charging stations on the Loch Sheldrake Campus.

The new devices were funding by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority.

“Electric vehicles are the future and fit with the sustainability mission of the college,” said its president, Jay Quaintance. “Having the opportunity to charge vehicles on campus is just another way that we are moving to a greener future at SUNY Sullivan.”

The charging stations are located in parking lot two in front of the Paul Gerry Fieldhouse and are available to students, faculty and staff as well as the general community.

There is a $0.25/kWh fee to use the device, the revenue from which will be shared by SUNY Sullivan and Livingston Energy Group, which financed 10 percent of the project.
