MILFORD – A Middletown man was sentenced in Pike County Court to one month to five years in the Pike County Jail for the crimes of driving under the influence, endangering the welfare of children and possession of a controlled substance.

Marcus James Petty, 24, was also fined $2,800.00 and had his driver’s license suspended for 12 months.

On July 31, 2021, Pennsylvania State Police responded to I-84 in Dingman Township where Petty was observed driving erratically and then over an embankment with the car coming to rest on its side.

When contact was made with Petty, he was observed to be unsteady and confused and admitted smoking marijuana. Field sobriety tests indicated impairment.

He was found in possession of fentanyl and had an 11-month-old child in the car.
