United Kingdom resident arrested for wrong way crash

BLAUVELT – A 20-year-old Harlow, United Kingdom man is in the Rockland County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail following a Saturday afternoon wrong-way crash that left several people injured.

Orangetown Police said Thomas Robb, 20, of England, was driving the wrong way in a southerly direction on a one-way section of Greenbush Road in Blauvelt. The vehicle entered the intersection of Route 303 and struck a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze operated by Jacquelyn Pachay, 32, of Newark, New Jersey, who was driving north on Route 303 in the right lane.

The Chevy subsequently collided with a 2021 Dodge Challenger driven by Lawrence McMannis, Jr., 55, of Mahwah, New Jersey, who was driving north on Route 303 in the left lane.

All occupants were transported to local hospitals with varying degrees of injury. Police said boys, ages six and seven, were listed in critical condition.

Robb was charged with assault, leaving the scene of an incident with serious physical injury, reckless endangerment, and reckless driving.
