Several fire departments battle Lumberland apartment house fire

LUMBERLAND – Fire departments from Sullivan, Orange and Pike counties fought a fire in a three-story apartment building at 608 High Road in Lumberland.

The fire broke out around 12:35 p.m. on Friday with extensive damage to the attic and other areas of the interior and exterior of the building.

Fire investigators were called to the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. There were no reports of injuries.
