POUGHKEEPSIE – The State Department of Transportation is advising motorists to expect double lane closures along both directions of Interstate 684 between Exit 1 (Interstate 287) in the Town of Harrison, Westchester County, and Exit 9 (Interstate 84) in the Town of Southeast, Putnam County, from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, July 30 and Sunday, July 31, to facilitate bridge maintenance, weather permitting.
Motorists are urged to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones.
Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
