WALLKILL – Town of Wallkill Comptroller Toni Tracey and Deputy Comptroller Casey Meier have both resigned to take other positions and the town is moving forward to fill those jobs, Town Supervisor George Serano said.
The town board has appointed Cheryl Gross as deputy comptroller. Earlier in her career she served as Newburgh city comptroller and later held finance positions in the Town of Montgomery and Eldred School District.
Wallkill has yet to hire a new comptroller, but in the interim named Donald Paris as a financial consultant, Serano said. He recently retired after serving as treasurer in the City of Middletown.
